Megalodon, meaning "big tooth", is an extinct species of shark that lived approximately 23 to 3.6 million years ago, during the Early Miocene to the Pliocene. It was formerly thought to be a member of the family Lamnidae, and a close relative of the great white shark. However, presently there is near unanimous consensus that it belongs to the extinct family Otodontidae, which diverged from the ancestry of the great white shark during the Early Cretaceous. Its genus placement is still debated, authors placing it in either Carcharocles, Megaselachus, Otodus, or Procarcharodon A perfect vacuum formed Megalodon tooth formed on high quality LDPE thermal plastic. No mold release needed. Fill and remove. No need to wait. Measures in at 3.5 inches high by 3.25 at the widest point at the base and just shy of 1.5 deep.
A wetter bath bomb mix (additional oils) is recommended when working with our molds. WATER to BIND and increase your oils. All my molds are hand tested by me prior to being released to consumers.

Caring for your molds:
Prolonged exposure to temperatures exceeding approximately 180º F may irreversibly deform the molds. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may induce stress cracking.
LDPE may be susceptible to stress cracking when exposed to ultraviolet light and some chemicals. Wetting agents such as detergents may accelerate stress cracking.
For best results, we recommend hand washing our molds using normal dish washing detergents, avoiding abrasive type scouring pads. LDPE can be susceptible to scratching which may complicate unmolding.
